An international architecture competition has been launched, asking for ideas to build a traveling Charlie Hebdo Portable Pavilion that exhibits the company's works in the name of free speech. Up to $10,000 in prizes will be awarded to three winning proposals and six honorable mentions. All are welcome to participate. Registration will close March 9. You can read on for more information.
From the organizers: There have been a series of recent events that have taken place around the world that have tried to deny people their freedom of speech. Oppression and aggression takes place in countries across the globe on a daily basis, reminding us of the civil liberties that are often taken for granted. Therefore our Charlie Hebdo Portable Pavilion architecture competition is intended to create a traveling structure to exhibit the works of the outspoken publication.
